AAUW North Tahoe (CA) strives to enhance this beautiful place by advancing gender and economic equity for women and girls.  Since 1983, this branch has:

• provided college scholarships for local girls.
• sponsored girls for week-long STEM camps on college campuses.
• received collaborative grants from local service organizations and business, including: KIwanis North Lake Tahoe, Rotary Club of Tahoe City, Tahoe League for Charity, Sierra Watershed Education Partners, UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center, and Tahoe Truckee Airport.
• offered educational presentations to the local community on climate change, human trafficking, nordic search and rescue, defensible space for fire safety, educational enrichment programs for low-income, middle-school students (AimHigh) and other topics.
