Members of the gourmet group and all North Tahoe AAUW members are invited to lunch and hike October 8th, 11:30 a.m at Spooner Lake. Please bring a salad for 8 and a drink for yourself. We will provide plates and forks. Upon entering the park there will be a senior rate for cars. I think it is somewhere between eight and ten dollars a car. Go to the left for parking and we will meet at a table near the parking and not far from the restrooms. Spooner Lake/Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park is a left turn from highway 28, just before highway 50 to Carson City. There is a flat walk around Spooner Lake or a moderate hike to Marlette Lake 1,210 feet elevation. Just want to eat and relax that is fine also.
