General Meeting

Louise Riemer and Magnolia Glandiflower Pampelmouse or “Maggie”, a 12 year old black Standard Poodle who has been with Louise since a few months after she was born, will demonstrate Maggie’s work as a Therapy dog.  Maggie and Louise worked for five years at the Military Hospital in Reno with long-term patients, many with Post Traumatic Stress. Before that, this team worked at the Children’s Shelter for abused and neglected children in Reno.  Louise and Maggie are now semi-retired.  (Inclement weather may prevent them from attending our meeting.)  Sally Hertz will talk of her experiences with her personality-plus dog Mia, a Labradoodle.  Both Maggie and Mia are certified Therapy Dogs.  Bring your questions and guests (both male and female) for this exceptional program.
