College Scholarship                                                                                                                                   The North Tahoe Branch of the American Association of University Women provides a five thousand dollar scholarship to an outstanding graduating North Tahoe High School female student who has the intention of earning a B.S. degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field. The scholarship recipient will be awarded $2,000 the first year and $1,000 each of the next three years if she is a full-time student in a STEM field and maintains a 3.0 or better GPA.

Criteria for AAUW North Tahoe Scholarship

This is one of over thirty scholarships offered to graduating seniors of our local high school as they head off for higher education.

To be considered for our  scholarship, students are to complete the uniform “Tahoe Truckee Community Scholarship Application” which is available from the high school counselor and also found on line at Applications are evaluated for scholastic achievement, community and school extracurricular activities, personal qualities and financial need. While the young women who have been sponsored by AAUW-North Tahoe to attend Tech Trek and Girls’ State are encouraged to apply, the scholarship is open to all NTHS female seniors.
